Have you noticed how each year passes faster than the other?
Or is it just me?
We're so busy working, raising children, living through complex relationships... that we have lost our sense of time, but more sadly, our sense of "SELF".
Unfortunately, that was the story of my life. Raising 5 kids, a never-ending pile of laundry and a house that never seemed to get clean. By the time the kids were all in bed, I'd crash on the couch and fall asleep. No matter what I do, there was no sense of accomplishment.
Then something happened and it slowly changed my life. When we were selling our house just before the photographer came, I picked up a paint brush and some white paint and decided to paint the ugly lounge I had. My friend who was helping me at the time was amazed at how nice it became. So was I. It gave me a sense of accomplishment, something that I actually completed and was able to admire.
Some of my friends say that they don't have a bone of creativity in their body. I say if you can pick up a paint brush, dip it in paint and wipe it on something, that's where creativity begins.
To spark my creativity, I use an array of colours from Vintage Bird Furniture Paint, neutrals, pastels or rich, deep colours - It’s so easy to use and designed to give a gorgeous, vintage finish.
In conclusion, I read this beautiful saying once:
"We are all a little broken.
But last time I checked, broken crayons still colour the same"
You have more potential and skill than you think you have, so pick up a paint brush and transform yourself one brush stroke at a time.
