I'd Like To Introduce You To You.

Many communities, households and individuals are on the edge of breaking down both physically and mentally. It feels like life has lost its value and meaning. We no longer have time for ourselves and the years a slipping away faster than a blink of an eye. Despite the day being 24 hours, we just can't find the time to re-calibrate our own self, we're just like a mouse on a never ending running wheel. In some weird way we've become enslaved to our own running-wheel where we have to go to work and try to make ends meet, clean the house, do the laundry, cook, raise the kids and the list goes on... 

We literally can't find the time to rest, and when we do rest, we're wrestled to the couch by extreme fatigue, migraines, stress and all sorts of aches and pains. Unfortunately, some of us let it out by drinking alcohol which numbs you like an anesthetic for a little while, but when the effect rubs off, you feel like you've just had brain surgery.

As weird as it sounds, you need to reintroduce yourself to yourself. Take yourself out on a date. You need to find yourself again in order to be your best for yourself, your family and the broader community.

Here are some tips that can help you find yourself again:

1. Get in Touch With Nature. 

The beautiful colours of nature in their green, blue and browns are a great way to soothe your senses. Did you know that most hospital staff wear colours of nature in their green or blue because they're are most soothing to the eyes.

2. Do Something Enjoyable.

Whether it's fishing, flying a kite or just lying on a picnic rug under a tree (just make sure no birds crap on you like they did to me:) These simple activities can take your mind off life's stresses and give you enough time to think about yourself.

3. Get Creative.

Doing something creative can get your mind off so many things. It can help you focus on specific tasks such as painting, stenciling, decoupaging and so much more.
